You have the option to supplement your existing medical coverage with accident, critical illness and hospitalization insurance from MetLife.
IMPORTANT
These supplemental benefits are not sponsored, maintained, subsidized nor endorsed by DFIN.
These voluntary plans provide cash benefits in addition to what your medical plan may or may not cover. With each of these plans:
- You are eligible to enroll yourself and your eligible family members during the annual enrollment period.
- You can pay your premiums through payroll deductions.
- Lump-sum payments are made directly to you and may be used any way you see fit.
- Your coverage is portable; you can take it with you if you leave DFIN.
Accident Insurance
Group accident insurance pays benefits if you have tests or receive medical services, treatment or care for one of more than 150 covered events as defined in the Accident Insurance Certificate.
Critical Illness Insurance
If you or a covered family member are diagnosed with a serious illness such as cancer, heart attack or stroke, critical illness insurance provides you with a lump-sum payment upon diagnosis.
Hospitalization Insurance
Group hospitalization insurance typically pays a flat amount when you are admitted to the hospital because of an accident or illness, and a daily amount for each day you are confined to the hospital. It also provides payment if you’re admitted to an Intensive Care Unit.
